About me
Pegah Khosravi, an Assistant Professor at CUNY and CityTech, is a leading innovator in AI for the biomedical sector. Her work focuses on advanced AI frameworks, ensemble learning, multimodal models, and explainable AI. With a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Tehran, Pegah's career includes pivotal roles at the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM), Weill Cornell Medicine, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she honed her skills in artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning for radiology, embryology, and pathology imaging.
At the New York City College of Technology (CityTech), Pegah contributed to the Biomedical Informatics Baccalaureate (BIB) program, and she continues to lead Biomedical AI projects at the CUNY Graduate Center's Compute and Biology Ph.D. Programs. Founder of the BioMind AI Lab, she is dedicated to nurturing new talent in Biomedical AI research. As Deputy Editor for the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (JMRI), she shapes the future of AI research. Additionally, Pegah explores storytelling to create educational and imaginative AI-focused tales, blending her passion for narrative with her expertise in AI.
