About me
Christina Katopodis, PhD, is the Executive Director at Transformative Learning in the Humanities, a three-year initiative at the City University of New York (CUNY) supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. She successfully defended her dissertation, “Sound Ecologies: Music and Vibration in 19th-Century American Literature,” on November 30, 2020, and graduated with her PhD in English from the Graduate Center, CUNY, on February 1, 2021. She is a scholar of environmental studies, sound studies, and American literature. She has written articles published or forthcoming in ESQ: A Journal of Nineteenth-Century American Literature and Culture, ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment, and Profession.
