In this assignment, you will explore where humans are positioned on the Tree of Life.  

For completion credit, please complete all of the following steps:

1.  Visit the interactive Tree of Life at http://lifemap.univ-lyon1.fr/explore.html

2. Find our species by typing in the species name.  

3. Who named us, and what does our name mean?

4.  Who our our closest neighbors on the tree.

5.  Identify one other species that shares some ancestry with humans, but are not primates.  What ancestry do we share with this species?
